Dr. La-Renda Jones
Dr. LaRenda Jones is a native New Yorker with over 30 years of experience in counseling. Even before she was a counselor, people already gravitated toward her for help. God worked and transformed her life through different people and circumstances.
She has a Bachelor's and Masters's Degree in Social Work, a Bachelor's in Religious Education, a Master's in Theology/Christian Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Christian Counseling. She first worked with adolescents in a youth shelter. She saw youth struggling with grievous issues with their parents. While also struggling to navigate through her problems with her family.
Heeding the call of God, she began pursuing her Bible Education. She kept God first in her life and even in her educational pursuits because the scriptures directed her. She prayed to have her faith-based private practice and wanted it to be designed by the hand of God.
Sickness, deaths, family conflict, relational, domestic violence, low self-esteem, etc., were areas Dr. Jones had to overcome within her own life. She battled with cancer while completing her Ph.D. She became involved in Grief work, eulogizing her eldest sister. She performed of the Funeral Director, Minister, Counselor, and family member.
She became exposed to podcasting. She then started a Grief-Talk conference call about spirituality and mental health. Dr. Jones began lecturing and conducting workshops around grief. She does not see grief as only about the deceased but grief in the lives of people.
She is a speaker who motivates and encourages people into their Godly purpose. She also teaches people how to handle their grievous issues. She enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and her greatest enjoyment is riding roller coasters.
She doesn't promote herself with a title as a minister or a preacher, for she already knows her call. But still, she was ordained as a minister under the ministry of her late spiritual parent.
One of her most recent projects was starting the Intercessory Prayer weekends. Her message to those who desire to go further is to keep Christ as the center of their lives and handle their grief and grow through it. Don't delay. Get your help today.

One does not understand when they are traveling a road in search of their ordained career. You will meet adversity and rejection. Dr. Jones talks about her journey through following God's plan by being obedient and acquiring a debt-free Education.
This book is an emotional mirror to help one reflect on the various emotions that arise as a result of grievous cycles, situations, and circumstances. Let's face it, everyone grieves something.
Everyone experiences grief not just in the death of a loved one but also in the loss of other things such as; divorce, separation, relations, we even grieve things we eat. Grief is inevitable and everyone is going to experience it one way or another. Make up your mind and Handle your Grief...There is Hope...Nothing is Impossible. Let the freedom from those past hurts be dealt with.
How and what are we eating? I decided to take on the challenge of answering this question for myself. For the past 3 years, I have followed a fasting regime in the month of January. Through fasting with a like-minded group of friends and acquaintances, answers have been revealed. I knew I needed to band together with a community of individuals mutually concerned about the interrelationship between grief and food. Dr. Jones sought 5 talented chefs The goal is for us to eat purposely in order to maintain optimal health, especially while coping with grief. Eating without focus can lead to gluttony. The Comforter's Cookbook is a fortuitous meditation of life and wellness.
The chief deterrent to our health and wholeness as children of God is our tendency to believe the lies we are fed about ourselves. This is not so much a matter of our salvation or inheritance as it is our ability to enjoy the good things God wants to do for, in, and through us right now.
Those of us who are in Christ need not live in slavery, despair, and defeat. No matter how big or small our struggles are, from the smallest annoyances to the most life-consuming crises, God has more blessings and healing to give. Understanding what God really says about us and wants for us, as found in the pages of Scripture, is the key to unlocking greater victory and freedom.
Our work today and every day is to seek out God’s truth for our lives and then live like we believe it. The lies of despair, depression, sickness, and worthlessness may have a strong hold on this world. But they need not own us in the least bit.
Join with me, Karen Pennington, as we pierce the darkness and lies of the enemy by shining the light of ten specific truths found directly in the pages of Scripture that reveal who we are and whose we are. Let the healing begin!
