Dr. Jones, a native New Yorker entered the counseling field in her late 20's after having a declining career in the Accounting field. She was organized but, her organization skills were not designed to be a Certified Public Accountant. She realized she enjoyed working to help people in some way because people always asked her for help. She experienced a transformation after crying out to God over a toilet stool asking Him to help her find her niche and purpose in life. She earned her first degree in Social Work/Education. Her first job was working with adolescents in a youth teen shelter. She witnessed youth struggling with grievous issues with their parents while struggling to navigate through her own problems with her family. Heeding to the call of God, she began pursuing her Bible Education first. She was determined to keep God first even in her educational pursuits because the scriptures directed her to do so. Dr. Jones experienced the Christian Counselor's experience engaging in Christian Counseling for mental health services. God was setting up the stage for what was coming in her life. God moved fulfilling ALL her educational requirements in Biblical Education and the secular school education requirements followed. Dr. Jones desired to have her own " faith based" private practice and wanted it to be designed by the hand of God. Dr. Jones desired to bring a Christian Counseling ministry into another ministry at first but, God did not allow that to occur
Dr. Jones believed the word of God. God gave her a motto she uses today. John 10:10. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. Sickness, deaths, family conflict, relational, domestic violence, low self esteem etc, were areas Dr. Jones had to overcome within her own life. She became involved in Grief work eulogizing her eldest sister. She performed roles of the Funeral Director, Minister, Counselor and the family member. A dear Godly woman spoke to Dr. Jones about her passion working with "grief" The dear woman bless her heart, slipped accidentally upon the name of Beneath the Grief. Ministries, came a few weeks after. The slip from the mouth of the Godly woman was no accident, it was God breathed. God had plans for Beneath the Grief Ministries.
Dr. Jones experienced illness herself through cancer and while recovering, God allowed her to complete her final degree a Ph.D in Clinical Christian Counseling. By the usage of a simple cell phone, praying for people, Beneath the Grief Ministries started a prayer line and conference call ministry. She became exposed to podcasting on https://www.blogtalkradio.com and eventually started Grief-Talk conference call about spirituality and mental health. Dr. Jones began lecturing, and conducting workshops around grief. She does not see grief as only regarding the deceased but grief in the lives of people.
She is a speaker who loves to motivate people into their Godly purpose and to Handle their grievous issues. She doesn't promote herself with a title as a minister or a preacher, she already knows her call but was ordained a minister under her late spiritual parent under his ministry. Another desire was to write a book. God granted that too. Dr. Jones desires to send a message to those who desire to go further, keep Christ as the center of their life, Handle their Grief and Grow through it.
Dr. Jones most recent project was starting the Intercessory Prayer weekends. She enjoys traveling, meeting new people, encouraging them and her greatest enjoyment is riding roller coasters. She believes Beneath the Grief Ministries Counseling Services will travel wherever God leads it one person(s) or group at a time. Don't delay get your help today.
